Mont Ventoux under the snow: a bright, vibrant winter full of promise.

There are winters that are discreet, almost timid. And then there are those that settle in with obvious force.

This year, Mont Ventoux was covered in snow in the most beautiful way .

Winter 2026 is shaping up to be a generous, even blanket of white, which will redraw the landscape and transform the mountain into a setting that is as soothing as it is spectacular.

Two atmospheres, one place

I was truly captivated by the atmosphere there. I went up twice, at different times, to observe the contrast in visitor numbers.

During the week, calm prevails. The scenery invites you to escape, to slow down, to stop ruminating and let yourself be carried away by the snow, the silence, and the light. Mont Ventoux becomes almost introspective, as if suspended in time.

On weekends, a different energy takes hold. Children's laughter, lively conversations among adults, restaurants bustling with activity, and a wave of good cheer naturally sweeps across the summit. A calmer atmosphere awaits on snowshoe hikes, where the sound of our footsteps in the snow sets the rhythm. A vibrant, welcoming, and shared mountain.

A concrete opportunity for hotels and guesthouses

This winter offers a real opportunity for hotels, guest houses and accommodations around Ventoux.

Why? Because the snow is here at the right time :

  • during the weekends ,

  • during school holidays ,

  • with a high probability of lasting .

This is not an isolated incident. We are experiencing a great period of snowfall , capable of supporting a dynamic of short, spontaneous or family stays.

For accommodation providers, this changes everything: attractive winter stays, enhanced outdoor spaces even in the cold season, and communication focused on the experience, not just on the accommodation.

See you soon
